August 2021, Rooster produced a night of music, poetry, and a one act play, alongside Black Fox Productions, NAACP Greater Red Bank Area, RMW Foundation, Equal Justice Initiative, and the New Jersey Social Justice Remembrance Coalition, at the historic T. Thomas Fortune House and Cultural Center in Red Bank, New Jersey. All proceeds from the performances went towards erecting a historical marker recognizing the only documented lynching in the state of New Jersey and memorializing Samuel “Mingo Jack” Johnson.
